SLOPE and BiRT Workshop on Hyperspectral Imaging

A workshop on Hyperspectral Imaging was organized on 20 March 2015 at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna (Austria) by BOKU. Besides highlighting the fundamentals of the technology and its application to assess the quality of wood, further possibilities for the application of HSI for the analysis of food, agricultural products, soil, archaeology were presented and discussed by internationally renowned experts in the field.

Technical workshop, in conjunction with FORMEC

The main objectives of the technical workshop in Linz were sharing the available knowledge about the status of the SLOPE project, the dissemination of results and the discussion about demonstration activities in Austria and Italy.
The Technical Workshop was organised in conjunction with the FORMEC Symposium which was held in Linz (Austria).

NIR & wood: sounds good

The workshop “NIR & WOOD – SOUNDS GOOD! – second edition” took part from April 19-21 2016 at Trees and Timber Institute (IVALSA), Via Biasi 75, 38010 San Michele all’ Adige and was organized by National Research Council, Trees and Timber Institute (CNR-IVALSA) in collaboration with COST actions FP1303 and FP1407 and Italian Society for NIR Spectroscopy – SISNIR.

The purpose of the workshop was to encourage dialogue at the international level and to exchange of experiences related to the research and applications of NIR spectroscopy for wood science and technology.

KWF meeting

Roding (Germany)

 

The KWF meeting is the biggest forestry demo fair in the world. This is the most important international meeting of the forest sector. The 17th KWF meeting took place from 9 to 12 June, 2016 in the southern Germany (Roding, Bavaria). Traditionally, the KWF meeting consists of three elements - Forest Machinery and Innovations Demo Fair, field trips and a scientific congress.
The SLOPE project was presented at the scientific congress by giving an oral presentation and during the demo fair by Greifenberg Teleferiche, which was presenting its latest innovations.
