Workshop on Hyperspectral Imaging

A workshop on Hyperspectral Imaging was organized on 20 March 2015 at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna (Austria). The workshop was very successful; it hosted 58 participants from 11 countries and was a real international, transdisciplinary and interdepartmental scientific event.

SLOPE and BiRT Workshop on Hyperspectral Imaging

Within the frame of the SLOPE project and the BiRT (Bio-Resources and Technologies Tulln) workshop series, a workshop on Hyperspectral Imaging will be held on 20 March 2015 at BOKU-UFT in Tulln (Austria).

Hyperspectral imaging (HSI) is the combination of imaging and spectroscopy, and during the last years has been increasingly applied in many different fields of sciences e.g. Life Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Biology, Food Sciences, Materials Science.

The focus of the workshop is to explore the potential of HSI for the analysis of wood, food and other renewable biomaterials. Besides fundamental aspects of Hyperspectral Imaging, a demonstration of hyperspectral scanning procedure, as well as chemometry course to explore hypercubes using different statistical techniques will be covered by the workshop program. Internationally renowned speakers and innovative top-companies will contribute to the high quality of this workshop.
